A 180° 3D Experience: Capturing a Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine Car
Monza 2024: the great chance to get a VR pilot's view from a Formula Europe Regional by Alpine Car.

On Sunday, I had a unique opportunity to photograph an RPM MOTORSPORT Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine 2024 single-seater, driven by E. Pierre, using my 180° 3D photo/video system. The final images, optimized for VR headsets like the Apple Vision Pro, are now part of my growing portfolio.

This collection showcases both traditional vehicle interiors and special race car interiors, providing a fully immersive experience

The main image has been meticulously edited in Photoshop to simulate the camera position in the Pit Lane at the Monza circuit, with careful attention given to replicating the lighting from another part of the circuit. This enhances the visual experience, ensuring a more immersive feel when viewed on VR headsets.

This type of pictures are shot to be best viewed on VR Headsets like Apple Vision Pro, Oculus Quest, Pico and why not... Google Cardboard too.

If you want to test the same intriguing view you can open the following link in you preferred device. Even in a smartphone you can have a VR simulation, just remember to use Youtube App

This VR video is 8K resolution, 3D

The original shot was taken quite far from the pit lane; I used previous VR pictures to create a final view from Monza's iconic pit lane.

For security reasons the steering wheel was removed during the shooting. I added a specific picture to match type and colour grading.

Usually it is good thing to use a tripod for such VR view. The race day was not ideal to bring specific tripod.

After a dozen of pictures I got the correct one: correct head high and proper alignment inside the cockpit.

Thank to Rebekka Fagnani for the backstage and the great day at the race.
