The Jumpology idea and the magic of QR Code
This is a collaboration between Contrasto Books and IED Istituto Europeo di Design spa.
As Photo Senior LAB Technician in IED I was in charge to prepare a Photo Session to be held during exhibition inauguration in Palazzo Reale, Milan.
The main idea was simple: take pictures of guests jumping in front of camera, like Halsman did in the past with VIPs he shot.
I spent some time in preparing a straight forwarding way to digital deliver pictures to the guest, try to avoid any delay in registering accounts, technology differences between phone devices, cumbersome apps...
The solution was quite simple: asking people to frame a QR Code. The magic is not so obvious but the effort was widely repaid.
Shooting, Digital support and help in sharing was attended by Photo Students of IED Photography Courses.
Thanks to a clever (forgive me, please) combination between FTP server, enhanced feature of Capture One Pro and the fundamental support of ChatGBT I got the result:
- pose
- shot
- frame QR Code
- get the picture!
No waiting time or any other nuisance: only your pictures, right now.
It was a success, all the guests shared the pictures instantly.
Contrasto team asked to have more dates, it was so enagaging that other people wanted to join. So we did it three more time.
